Our Union Street's volunteer army was back out in force on Sunday for another mass clean up.
Between the hours of 10am and 3pm on Sunday the 5th of May, our army of Street Union volunteers spruced up the the street from Dee Street to Bridge Street.
Dozens of volunteers got to work and weeded the pavements, disposed of litter and painted street furniture.
We were given access to an empty retail unit, we scrubbed the floors, sanded down external panels and cleaned the windows.
Brightening the street is one of our five action areas detailed within the latest Union Street Whitepaper
We have a number of volunteer events scheduled throughout Summer so that we can continue to improve the look of the empty retails units and clean up the street.
